366. Torch Fired Enameling Workshop with Felicia Szorad

Explore the possibilities with Master Metalsmith Felicia Szorad shaping and texturing metal into dimensional forms and experimenting with torch-fired enameling to truly create something unique.  Students will start by manipulating copper sheet through sinking and surface embellishment.  Once formed and textured, color will be applied to the copper through a variety of painted and sifted enameling techniques concentrating on torch firing.  Students will create a  number of richly colored, dimensional "gems" that can be combined with other elements and materials into finished jewelry or object designs.  Workshop materials included!
