This camp is for all those green thumb learners. Campers will explore the science of plants, flowers, and ecosystems while creating beautiful, hands-on art projects like pressed-flower art, painted plant pots, garden markers, plantable seed paper and more. Along the way, students will learn about gardening basics, soil and plant needs, photosynthesis, and the different biomes and climates where plants grow best. Campers will learn to grow their own plants, explore the LASC garden grounds, and discover the role of farmers and community gardens in our world. This camp blends art, science, and nature for curious kids who love to create and get their hands dirty.
This class will meet in person at The Living Arts & Science Center. Parents should provide two peanut free snacks, one lunch, and a personal water bottle for their child.
